My Life 10 Years from Nows

Hi ! I am Hariz Jamil , Civil Engineer to be...

When any person thinks about their future , They would imagine themselves having children and a handsome husband or beautiful wife . This is what most people think and imagine. People try to think about good things , but they do not put worst things  in front of them . This situation is normal and it is good for us . But people have to put the worst things also in their future in order to know how to deal with them . I imagine in my life , i can see good things and bad things. I can visualize my life in ten years from now i will be a Millionare , Businessman , Contractor and a Husband.

As an established engineer with a doctorate degree from a prestigious university, I plan to have two kids and a perfect wife. The Bentley will be parked in my four-car garage, with my guard dog watching and cctv every edge of my house.. We will also have the golden retriever in the house for the kids to play with. That is how most people picture themselves twenty years down the road. I am becoming a man and I know it is time to start planning for the future.

As far as education, I have been accepted to the Kolej Poly-Tech MARA for Diploma in Civil Engineering (Construction Safety ) under the MARA Scholarship .. After that , I am planning to further my study Bachelor Degree in Hanyang University which is the best Insfrastructure University in the Korea . Since I have not chosen a major yet I will just use engineering as my field of choice.

In Hanyang University I plan to meet my future wife. In my mind she is seen as Shila Amzah.. Lol !! . With her education she will be making more money than me and also supporting me. It's easier to me to be a millionare. I know this is not how the typical man is supposed to think, but in ten years the times will change. I predict this because over the years women’s rights have been on the rise. Women have come from the point of not being able to vote to running major corporations. Speaking of running corporations, which will be my wife.

Furthermore,  I want to be a famous in my country. I want to get title of Dato' . I dream it since primary school. If i already famous in Malaysia , it's easier to me to get project from the Multinational Company. I want to be famous in order to get people trust and try my best to help people who need help. In many countries famous people help others, so I want to be like them and help people who really need me. Finally I want to successful in life.

No one can predict how their life will be ten years from...

Be A Good Student

Good student is not a clever student only. If we talk about a good student, there are two important aspects that we must consider. We can say and decide a student is good if the student can fulfill these two important aspects, which are related with the student’s intelligence and behavior. If a student has a good intelligence and behavior, she or he must be a good student.

First is intelligence, intelligence is an important aspect besides behavior aspect, that determines whether a student can be a good student or not. In this case, intelligence means the student’s brain ability, how fast a student can understand a lesson, and the student’s ability to focus her or his mind on a lesson. Those are about the intelligence aspect and there is also the other aspect, which is as important as intelligence aspect in determining good or not a student is, it is behavior aspect.

Second is behavior, behavior is an important thing too, that must be had to be a good student. There are many things that are included in this aspect, such as the student’s behavior when she or he is in school or in society, the way she or he interacts with someone else, her or his ability to associate with her or his friends and so on.

People maybe always think that a good student is a student who always gets good marks. Of course, it is extremely wrong. A good student must have a good behavior too. I do not know why people still think that a good student is always related with a good mark, but actually the case is we cannot measure the student’s brain ability, even with a number. I do not think that the behavior aspect is more important than the intelligence aspect, because the behavior aspect cannot be measured too. I just think that a good student is a student that has a good intelligence and a good behavior balance.

Family

Family is an important unit of society. It holds great importance in social life. It is the strongest unit of society. A society is made up of families.

A family is the first school in which a child receives the basic values of life. He learns good manners in the family. The morals and values learnt in family become our guiding force. They make our character. They lay the foundation of our thinking. I feel fortunate to be born in a family where values are inculcated in early childhood.

I belong to a middle class family. There are six members in my family. They are our parents, grandparents, I and my younger sister. Our grandfather is the head of the family. He enjoys a commanding position. His decision is final in family matters. Nobody can dare to go against him. Everybody respects him. He is the guardian of the family. He is a cool and considerate man. He is just and fair. His decision is never influenced by any other. He is a retired teacher. He helps us in our study. Our grandmother makes us hear good stories.

My father is a police officer. He is a great disciplinarian. He is sincere and hardworking. He always goes to office in time. My mother is a simple housewife. She is a postgraduate in English. She is soft-natured and caring. She takes great care of us. She does not care for her comfort for us. She looks after our grandparents. She helps the poor and the needy. She is religious and God-fearing.

Our family has been known for discipline and values. We give great importance to values and morals in life. Since our early childhood we are taught to respect the elders and love the children. We learnt the lesson of punctuality and honesty from our grandfather. It is due to the good education of our grandparents that we could excel both in sports and education. Since our childhood we have been put into the habit of rising early in the morning. This has a natural effect on our health and physical fitness.

Our family is like a heaven. There is peace, prosperity, love and care. The younger’s have regard and respect for the elders while the elders shower them with their love and affection. The instructions of the elders are followed with great respect. If a member has some problem the whole family is beside him. I am proud of my family.

What We Want To Achieve : Financial

One of the first and most important steps for successfully managing money as a college student is to truly understand your expenses. It is likely that you have never had to budget your own money if you’ve lived with your parents your whole life, so it can come as quite a shock the first time you’re faced with that harsh reality.Create a budget by making a list of your fixed expenses, such as rent, tuition, books, car payments, utilities and food. Next, make a list of your discretionary expenses such as clothing and entertainment. Until you know what your monthly expenditures are, you will not be able to make a realistic budget to work with.
Learn to live within your means. Expensive electronics, going out with your friends and eating out multiple times a week are likely going to become a thing of the past. Make sure that you are meeting your financial obligations before you start to spend on frivolous items that aren’t necessary for your survival. Remember, college is probably going to be a time of your life when you make very little money, so you had better be prepared to make some sacrifices. Try to avoid accumulating debt whenever possible, as it can quickly become overwhelming and will likely follow you for years beyond college. Keep a single credit card on hand for emergencies, but do not use it for anything that isn’t absolutely necessary.

Preparing for the Future

Save whenever you can and as much as you can. Even if it is a small amount, putting a little bit away with each paycheck will begin to accumulate over time and provide you with a much needed cushion if you’re put in a position where you need it. The earlier in your life you begin to save, the better off you will be, both in terms of having money saved for the big expenses in life to retirement. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you can just wait until you graduate and get your dream job before taking your finances seriously. Life doesn’t always work out as planned and time is your greatest asset when it comes to saving money. Even if it doesn’t seem like the twenty bucks a week you’re saving in college is a lot, you will thank yourself after graduation.
Managing real life expenses and trying to save for your long-term financial goals are difficult tasks for most people, not just college students. Establishing yourself as a responsible adult at a young age will help to lay the foundation for a secure financial future.

College Experience

College is a lot different than high chool . You may decide to commute from your home to a local campus . What can you expect as you head off into the wonderful world of higher education ?

The first thing that i already faced right now is the workload . it will be heavier and more intense than i ever experienced before . The major challenge of college work are the large volume of reading , the short dateline and the writing, writing , writing. A related effect that can be brought on by the work load is dumbt, frustation and possibility loveliness

The second is , i already making a lot of new friends.Continue to be yourself. As advise for the reader , Dont strive a pose or play the role of someone you're not . Select your friends with the same care and patience you have always used . I already select the best of the best friend . But , For me , nobody perfect . I must accept what the God already give to me . I fee very proud because Allah give me the unique friend in this college

Dear Reader  , Believe or not  your college friendship will be among the most satisfying and long term of your life . It's always exciting to discover how wonderfully diverse college relationship can be.. That's all from me.

Most Wanted : Vacation

During the semester holidays, my siblings and I were quite in the dumps because there was nothing to do and we were bored to death. Out of the blue, my parents decided to take us to the National Park in Pahang.

The Pahang National Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia. It is known far and wide for its beauty. As the saying goes, "Seeing is believing", I had yearned to go there for many years and it seemed like my dream was coming true.

In Pahang, we stayed in a motel. It was a traditional building with lots of exquisite carvings and designs. The next morning, we went to the National Park by jeep. The jalopy wheezed up and down the bumpy road, it was on the verge of breaking down. When we finally reached our destination, we heaved a sign of relief.

When I stepped into the park, I was thunderstruck. It was beautiful, more beautiful than I had ever imagined! Green trees towered over colourful flowers. Birds were chirping and squirrels played on the mossy ground. The majestic Gunung Tahan loomed in the background, a king reigning over his subjects. Palm trees swayed their leafy arms as the breeze blew, a sign of welcome. This was truly Mother Nature at her best. Amid all this splendour, I seemed just to be just a tiny being admiring a huge palace.

In the National Park, it was very cool and peaceful. After being in the bustling city with its noisy traffic, the silence was music to my ears. The hectic days in the city were replaced by soothing walks and recreational activities. I soon found out that there was more to it than meets the eye. As you walk along the jungle trail, you can be sure that hundreds of pairs of eyes are watching your every move. Occasionally, squirrels would playfully jump on your back or rabbits would brush against your legs. Flowers bloomed everywhere, dotting the green with red and yellow. However, beware, for the most poisonous mushrooms are those with brilliant colours.

In the National Park one can go for walks or go rafting in the crystal clear waters. My family even visited an aboriginal village. The natives were simple and honest. Their fierce loyalty and respect for one another was a model to all of us. They were kind-hearted and the guide even taught us a few words in the native language.

Altogether, it was the best holiday I had ever had. The National Park in Pahang is truly an interesting place in Malaysia and I would not have missed the trip for anything in the world.
